Maria Bilinska

DMD, PhD

When I say "dentistry" I think "empathy".

My job as a dental professional is not only about providing the best possible dental treatments - my mission is to create a peaceful, welcoming environment in the dental practice, to put my patients at ease, and let them relax and unwind throughout the dental procedures. I strongly believe it is possible by means of what I call “heart-centred dentistry” - a passionate practice driven by empathy, kindness and strong motivation to provide treatments that have a positive impact on the lives of my patients.

About dr Bilinska

Maria Bilinska started her studies at the dental department of the Medical University of Lodz in 2007. In 2011 she became involved in a voluntary program providing dental care for children in a rural environment in Nepal, where she spent a month perfecting her practical skills in dental surgery and conservative dentistry. During her studies, she benefited from a student exchange at the University of Oulu in Finland in the academic year 2011/2012. She also participated in a month-long internship in Dusseldorf, and numerous courses in Poland, Belgium and Germany. In 2014 she started her Doctoral Studies at the Clinic of Dental Surgery and Periodontics in Poznan. Her broad scientific interest is reflected in her doctoral dissertation entitled "Immunohistochemical analysis of the expression of selected markers of hypoxia, angiogenesis and osteolysis in ameloblastoma", defended with honours in March 2018.

She is a fluent English speaker, holding both CAE and IELTS certificates (C2 level), which allowed her to work as a translator of medical texts in partnership with the Inter Lang & Text translation agency in Krakow (2013-2018). Her lifelong passion for foreign languages enabled her to learn French (DALF C1), as well as basic-level German, Portuguese and Russian.

Dr Bilinska initially pursued her strong interest in the world of science by collaborating with the portal MedTube.net as an editor of popular scientific texts, and later publishing scientific articles in Polish scientific journals.

In her career, she is constantly developing her range of skills, focusing mainly on dental surgery, endodontics, as well as micro-invasive and aesthetic dentistry - she never misses an opportunity to participate in courses and additional professional training.

In 2020 after being granted a professional licence in Switzerland, she joined Smile and Care team in Eaux Vives, Geneva. Later on, in 2023 she joined Lovely Smiles' project in a quest for a paradigm change, making non-invasive and micro-invasive dentistry more accessible to people.
